Silverstone International Trophy

It was another busy weekend last weekend with Mike entering the HSCC Historic Touring Car Championship in his Ford Anglia 105E at Silverstone. Silverstone is a track that he’d never driven on before, so was pleased to set a time of 2.35 on the international circuit to qualify 34th out of 44, especially as he had no clutch!

With the clutch fixed, Mike’s race itself unfortunately ended on lap 8 out 9 when the car lost power. However he had been running as high as 24th and had set the 2nd best lap time for the Anglia 105Es. The lap time of 2.26 was also the 20th fastest lap of the race, so there were lots of positives to take away!

Full results can be found here.

The next race is the MG Trophy back at Silverstone for the MG Live weekend starting on June 4th and we’ll have updates on how the preparations for our two cars are coming along shortly.
